CAUSE: You opened a project, created with a previous version of the Quartus Prime software, with the Quartus Prime software version 4.0 or later, but the Quartus Prime software cannot convert the existing Project Configuration File (.quartus) into a new Quartus Prime Project File (.qpf) because the Project Configuration File contains one or more syntax errors.
ACTION: Correct the syntax errors in the Project Configuration File with the Quartus Prime software version 3.0 or earlier, or manually correct the errors, and then open the project in the Quartus Prime software version 4.0 or later.
