ID:236040 By placing connected regions near one another, the fitter has more opportunity to optimize inter-region paths. Reducing the criticality of inter-region paths also allows the fitter more flexibility when placing the other logic in each region. Note that the reported distance represents the Manhattan distance between the centers of the regions.
