Incremental Compilation Page (Settings Dialog Box)

You open this dialog box by clicking Settings > Compilation Process Settings > Incremental Compilation.

Allows you to ignore design partition assignments, if any, during compilation. In a standard incremental compilation flow, you can divide the top-level design into design partitions. Throughout the development cycle, you can preserve satisfactory compilation results and performance of unchanged partitions to reduce design iteration time by focusing subsequent compilations on partitions in the design that change.

On the Incremental Compilation page, you can also direct the Quartus® Prime Standard Edition software to automatically export the design partition specified in the Export Design Partition Settings dialog box after you compile your design.

You can optionally use Rapid Recompile in place of, or together with, creating design partitions to increase the preservation from a previous compilation of a changed partition.
