About the MegaWizard Plug-In Manager

The MegaWizard Plug-In Manager allows you to create and modify design files that contain custom megafunction variations, which you can then instantiate in a design file. These custom megafunction variations are based on Altera-provided megafunctions. You can use the MegaWizard Plug-In Manager to help you parameterize Altera megafunctions, library of parameterized modules (LPM) functions, and IP cores for use in your design.

With the MegaWizard Plug-In Manager, you can specify custom megafunction variation options. The wizard allows you to set parameter values and select optional ports. Files created using the MegaWizard Plug-In Manager are identified in the Project Navigator with a "wand" icon .

You can use the MegaWizard Plug-In Manager to generate a netlist for third-party synthesis tools.
