Description
The Intel® Enpirion® ET6160LI device is a monolithic 70 A power stage with integrated current and temperature monitors. The power stage is optimized to operate with the ED8401 scalable multi-phase controller.
The ET6160LI device monolithic output stage offers high system efficiency and high switching frequencies up to 1.5 MHz. Monolithic construction provides excellent thermal impedance for high-side (HS), low-side (LS), and Driver sections and does not require complex internal copper clip technology.
Excellent thermal design enables delivery of up to 70 A continuous current and support peak currents up to 130 A to power through FPGA dynamic reconfiguration transients.
The integration of the drivers and the MOSFETs allows for very accurate current reconstruction (IMON) protecting against large transient events at the load. Integrated thermal information from the ET6160LI device also helps the controller monitor the system health and react to temperature-driven events.
