The first hardware programmable 4x100GE FPGA-accelerated SmartNIC that enables next generation IA-based servers to meet the performance needs of the 4/5G Core User Plane Function/Access Gateway Function(UPF/AGF). The solution is flexible enough to enable communications service providers (CoSPs) to support Virtual Broadband Network Gateway (vBNG), Virtualized Evolved Packet Core (vEPC), Internet Protocol Security (IPSec), vFirewall, Segment Routing Version (SRv6), and Vector Packet Processing (VPP) workload capability in an IA server with a reprogrammable FPGA-based SmartNIC.
Based on the Intel® FPGA SmartNIC C5000X-PL Platform for Cloud, this card has an Intel® Xeon® D processor + FPGA, offering a hardware programmable data path with 50G connectivity. With this SmartNIC, Cloud Service Providers can improve server core utilization by offloading vSwitch and storage using IA-optimized Data Plane Development Kit (DPDK) and Storage Performance Development Kit (SPDK).
