Key Features on 13th Gen Intel® Core™ Mobile Processors

Do more at the edge with a maximized combination of performance, efficiency, and flexibility. Each 13th Gen Intel® Core™ processor includes performance hybrid architecture and Intel® Thread Director to optimize performance across edge use cases.3 The variety of SKUs offer a choice of features including Real Time and Extended Temperature support, on select SKUs, for industrial applications. Built-in Intel® Iris® Xe Graphics supports dynamic visual experiences, while also bringing AI inferencing capabilities to power and space-constrained applications.

Platform Flexibility for Maximum Performance

Built with Intel’s performance hybrid architecture,1 13th Gen Intel® Core™ mobile processors help drive platform flexibility and efficiency. This next generation delivers up to 1.08x faster single-threaded and 1.05x faster multi-threaded performance, compared to the 12th Gen Intel® Core™ mobile processors for compute-intensive applications like robotics and avionics.2

As the first generation to include PCIe 5.0 connectivity, select 13th Gen Intel® Core™ mobile processors now provide a faster pipeline for more data throughput in demanding applications like medical imaging. This is also supplemented with the high bandwidth of up to DDR5-4800 and LPDDR5x-64004 memory types.

Fuel Immersive Interactions and AI Inferencing

Enable rich interactions with fast graphics performance—up to 96 graphics execution units (EUs)4— powered by Intel® Xe architecture.4 13th Gen Intel® Core™ processors support up to four concurrent 4K60 HDR displays or one 8K display. They also offer video synchronization for video walls, and digital signage. The Multi-Format CODEC engines can also support up to 48 simultaneous 1080p video streams for Digital Safety and Network Video Recorder applications.

The processor’s high core count and integrated graphics pair with hardware-enabled AI acceleration with Intel® DL Boost (VNNI) and up to 96 graphics EUs for parallel AI workload processing. These features enable fast image classification performance that boosts inference for IoT devices. The Intel® Distribution of OpenVINO™ toolkit also supports 13th Gen Intel® Core™ processors with optimized deep learning for applications like Machine Vision and AI Process Control.

Industrial-Grade Features5

Select SKUs of 13th Gen Intel® Core™ mobile processors for IoT are built for the harsh realities of industrial use. Enabled by an advanced feature set, they’re compliant to industrial use conditions of 100 percent operation over 10 years with extended temp ranges of -40C to 100C maximum junction temperature (TjMax).

Additional features include support for in-band error correction code (IBECC) memory to help ensure data integrity. Time-Sensitive Networking-capable 2.5 GbE connectivity and Intel® Time Coordinated Computing (Intel® TCC)5 help synchronize latency-bounded workloads.

Support for High-Value Deployments

Make it easier to manage extended deployments with a longer, more convenient frequency between software updates on 13th Gen Intel® Core™ mobile processors for IoT SKUs. These processors include support for Windows* 10 IoT Enterprise 2021 Long-Term Servicing Channel (LTSC), EFLOW*, and Linux*.

Intel also helps enterprises maximize the value of their technology investments with long-life availability6 on IoT SKUs and consistent product availability for parts and maintenance over an extended period.
