The Enea Qosmos® Probe is a deep packet inspection (DPI) traffic sensor. It identifies and classifies network traffic by analyzing packets at line rate with advanced detection methods. It provides detailed level 2 to level 7 information that can be used to build a strong and accurate data foundation for traffic analysis, threat identification, and network protection. It delivers granular information on network activity, can provide customized extraction of traffic information and KPIs, can be deployed in hybrid environments, running across both physical and virtual interfaces and follows network functions virtualization (NFV) standards for future proofing. It is an application that can be readily deployed on commercial off-the-shelf hardware alongside any node, anywhere in an organization’s physical, virtual, or cloud infrastructure. The Qosmos Probe provides complete, real-time visibility into all network traffic, including encrypted and evasive traffic, and it supports Internet of Things (IoT) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) traffic for hybrid information technology (IT) and operational technology (OT) networks. It also generates the comprehensive data required for understanding network transactions and user behavior. To help gain ubiquitous visibility and improve threat detection speed and accuracy, Enea has tested the Qosmos Probe on Intel® architecture-based servers. When used with the latest Intel® Xeon® Scalable processors it has demonstrated significant improvements in performance gains and scalability. The Qosmos Probe combined with 3rd Gen Intel® Xeon® processors provides a more cost-effective solution to traffic inspection by bringing full visibility to high-traffic dynamic networks while increasing operational performance and scalability.
