Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Partner Portal?
The Partner Portal is a web interface that will enable you to manage your Design Registrations and Opportunities.
How will I access the Partner Portal & what login credentials do I use?
You will be able to access the Partner Portal using a direct URL (partners.intel.com), via My Intel or from the Intel® Resource & Design Center. PSG Distributors can access the Partner Portal via the Sales Enablement Portal (SEP) as well. Some users may have an existing login ID to our Intel systems, some may not. We will communicate your login ID when we deploy so that you can easily log in.
How do I enter my Design Registration data into the Partner Portal?
There are two ways to enter your data. You can either add your data to the bulk upload template or you can manually enter them. Detailed instructions are located on the Design Registration training page.
How does the bulk upload process work?
You are able to bulk upload your Design Registration data through a standard ECIA file format. The ECIA (Electronics Components Industry Association) Design Registration Upload Form addresses the authorized electronic components industry’s need for a standardized methodology for Design Registration requests and approval. For detailed instructions, refer to the Bulk Upload training page.
Can I extract my data from the Partner Portal?
Yes, you will be able to extract your data through the Reports tab.
Do I still need to send my Design Registrations by email to my Account Manager?
No, you will need to submit your Design Registration in the Partner Portal directly.
Will there be any changes to the current Design Win or Design Registration payment process?
With Technical Fee for Service (TFS) being discontinued at the end of 2023, payments to distributors in the North America and Europe Middle East Africa regions will change to follow the Design Registration process. NOTE: Tiered shared payment rates and structures will no longer be available.
How will Design Registration by Original Design Manufacturers (ODMs) impact the current Co-Sell program?
Co-selling will continue, and Original Design Manufacturing Registration (ODR) will enhance the program by enabling opportunity registration with ODMs as our critical manufacturer partners. The program will provide opportunity registration with Intel regional sales teams, potential for a growth sales incentive, and visibility into critical opportunities to pull in Intel support resources. The program will be governed by existing Co-Sell Principles of Sales Engagement.
How will I manage Opportunities in the Partner Portal?
Once your submitted Design Registration has been approved, it will automatically create an Opportunity. You will be able to view and edit the Opportunity in the Partner Portal. The portal will enable you to see your complete Intel pipeline. Both you and Intel will be able to see your current data and ensure the data is aligned between us. This shared view will be useful for pipeline reviews and Quarterly Business Reviews.
What are my obligations if my design registration opportunity has MINDS Use?
MINDS engagements may be subject to trade laws and regulations. You’re responsible for any and all trade compliance obligations related to your participation in this opportunity, including but not limited to identifying requirements, securing all necessary trade authorizations, and filing declarations.
Where do I go to get support if I have issues?
In the Partner Portal, there is a link entitled Report Issue, in the Design Registration links area of the Home page, where you can quickly & easily submit a ticket to get support.
Submit a Question/Issue
If you are unable to find the answer to your question/issue in the training, then you can submit your question/issue for resolution. To request support, contact Intel via email, chat or phone using the links located in the Contact Intel section on the Partner Portal main page.
Requests submitted via email will receive a response within 1 business day; chat and phone support are available during normal business hours.
