2021 Placement Scheme Opportunities
Intel Internships - Student Testimonials
Emily
Sales Support – Team HPI
Geography with Economics, Loughborough University
So far in my placement at Intel I have learnt so much about how a multinational company works from some of the best in the business!
I have organised numerous events and attended business meetings in Canary Warf, Spain and Vienna. I also enjoy being one of the intern Sports and Social committee heads, where we have a social event once a week and play sports such as hockey, football and table tennis.

Work here offers me direct communication with customers as well as being involved in managing orders worth millions! I am faced with different challenges daily and enjoy having to collaborate with colleagues across the organization.
My role also allows me to further seek different opportunities and project in other teams through the internship. As an intern rep, I get to represent the intern community’s issues to management and support where possible.

FPGA Engineer
BEng (Hons) Mechatronic Engineering, University of Manchester
At Intel I love the responsibilities! I was an integral member of the team right from my first day. I’ve worked on 2 projects and provided technical support to customers which was very fulfilling. My role gives me the opportunity to work with teams from all over the world which has made this experience even more enriching.
The open office environment makes it extremely easy to reach out to anyone, everyone is among the friendliest people I have come across and their constant support has helped me utilize my potential. There are lots of sports happening every week as well! (badminton’s my favourite).
The role has a lot of flexibility and I have been given several opportunities ranging from customer interactions to volunteering at STEM events. There’s also plenty of time invested in my technical development

Business Management and HR Management, DeMonfort University
The placement so far has provided me with a lot of knowledge about the working environment and HR function. My role at Intel consists of a wide range of responsibilities such as analysing and working with very sensitive data, creating communications and being involved with the Psychological Wellbeing Team. I’ve had the opportunity to organise events onsite, one of which was ‘Time to Talk Day’ a campaign that encourages people to talk about mental health. As well as being involved in updating leave policies, Brexit and creating plans for employee benefits. My manager and colleagues have been incredibly supportive and welcoming and helped me with my learning and development throughout my placement. In addition to this, I was able to volunteer locally through a committee at work and get involved in other committees such as Publishing and Eco.
