Ireland is Intel's centre of manufacturing excellence in Europe. Since 1989, Intel has invested $12.5 billion, turning 360 acres of the Collinstown Industrial Park into the most advanced industrialised campus in Europe.

Over the past 2 decades Intel in Ireland has come to represent a mixture of activities across the spectrum of Intel business from advanced manufacturing to cutting edge research and design. Today, Intel has 5,200 employees across the island of Ireland.

The majority of the Intel workforce in Ireland is based at the Leixlip campus in County Kildare. This is the location for Intel’s high-volume, advanced manufacturing facilities, currently preparing to produce 14nm process technology on 300mm wafers with full production beginning in 2015. The combined manufacturing space at the Leixlip campus has been operational since the early 1990’s and since then, has produced a variety of process technologies on both 200mm and 300mm wafer sizes.
