My Life in Intel
About Me
I'm a PhD holder in Polymer Science through a joint program between Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) Penang and Universitaet Osnabrueck (Germany). Joined Intel at the turn of the millennium as a senior materials engineer ever since!
My Motto in Life
Continuous learning, and continue to increase your knowledge bank. Be a learner every day.
I'm Intel Malaysia's 1st female Principal Engineer! My secrets to success
Persistency and patience!
Persistency: continue to believe in yourself and the system.
Patience: just like a plant, it needs time to nurture and grow.
Why Intel?
Intel provides a good career ground for those looking for challenge, fast and rapid pace. It is also an avenue for you to meet lots of people even if it is virtual. Honestly, I did not choose Intel as my 1st choice. I actually joined another MNC instead (south of Malaysia). I let go my earlier choice due to commitment to my ‘then-boyfriend’ – now my husband. I told him I will give Intel a try till he completes his PhD. I left Intel in 2004 as my husband joined a research lab in Kuala Lumpur and I left Intel to be closer to him, but I came back to Intel 9 months later: this tells you the attraction that I have with Intel.
