Things to Cloud: The Wind River Rocket* Demo Wind River's 'Things to Cloud' demo features the Wind River Rocket*, a tiny footprint cloud-connected, real-time operating system for MCUs that is directly connected to Wind River Helix App Cloud*, a cloud-based development environment for building IoT applications. The demo showcases the development, debugging, and deployment of a Rocket-based application to control a fan and read from an infrared sensor through the cloud.
Wind River’s Helix* End-to-End Platform Demo With the Wind River Helix*, developers and device manufacturers can not only create the safe, secure, and reliable intelligent systems that make up IoT, but also move the data generated by these systems--from the secure and managed devices at the edge, through the gateway, across the critical network infrastructure, and up into the cloud.
Path-to-Product: Transportation Demo To demonstrate a transportation rapid path-to-product edge IoT solution, a proof of concept was created using the Grove* IoT Commercial Developer Kit, and scaled to an industrial solution using an Intel® IoT Gateway, industrial sensors, and Wind River Linux* 7 OS. The gateway gathers data from a temperature and magnetic sensor for edge data analytics and monitoring.
Intel Commercial IoT Developer Workshop This demo illustrates the Intel® IoT Platform as implemented in a temperature-controlled environment, and includes three edge devices that monitor temperature, light, and loudness. The sensors provide continuous streaming data to the Intel® IoT Gateway, including indications of failure. There are two actuating relays that control a mini-fridge and heating lamp, and one LCD which monitors the system status. All interactions between sensors and actuators are setup using a web-based administration, allowing the edge network administrator to create business logic rules to govern behavior on the network.
Software Development for Microcontrollers with Intel® System Studio The demo shows an example of Intel® System Studio for microcontrollers being used to develop and debug firmware on an Intel® Quark™ D2000 microcontroller-based device. The device will be used as an event recorder for the transportation segment (monitoring shock sensitive containers).

The ParceLive Product Tracking Solution Demo by Hanhaa Ltd.

This credit card-size shipment tracking module allows you to track your shipments around the world using cellular connectivity combined with sensors (monitors location, pressure, temperature, humidity). It is completely network agnostic tracking, which makes parcels self-aware of location and conditions on global basis. It further parcels report-back status, regardless of shipping partner tracking capabilities. All information is then sent back to the cloud, where it’s analyzed and presented back to the customers, so they can monitor all shipments. True IA edge to cloud tracking, utilizing EPID security features.

IoT Developer Demo: Highlighting the Plug-n-Play Experience

The demo focuses on the Intel® IoT Gateway and its new “plug-and-play” experience. It shows over a dozen sensors of various types, interfaces, and IoT industry verticals connected to one gateway. The Developer Hub interface running on the gateway will show the charts reacting to the live sensors and the visual programing that was used to achieve the flow. 

Automotive BXT Buck Demo

Experience Intel’s latest automotive software-defined cockpit through a demonstration of a cluster, center In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI), and passenger IVI, all encased in a futuristic automotive dashboard and powered by BXT. This demo includes AI learning, trip recommendations based on learned customizations, FSE (front seat entertainment), and secure payments. It also includes the ability to add ADAS, ISS dev kit, and OTA updates messaging.

IoT Identity for a Health Gateway Using Intel® EPID

The Intel® Remote Health Gateway is an open platform to connect the edge to the data center to enable remote health monitoring by removing cost and complexity barriers. A typical use case in the medical world is to use multiple medical devices (such as blood pressure monitors, body comp monitors, and oxygen sensors, etc.) to monitor a patient's health status to push personal medical data to the cloud via a gateway, which can then be accessed by doctors and caregivers.

This will show how Intel® Enhanced Privacy ID (Intel® EPID) technology could be used to anonymize the gateway verification services, providing a more secure edge-to-data center channel, which is crucial in medical use cases.

SBS End-to-End Solution Demo Based on Intel® Quark™ SoC X1021

The SRC-0800-4C smart gateway-based IoT energy efficiency management solution can simulate the main energy equipment via multi-section LED lights. It can collect meter data and status info from voltage sensors, current sensors, temperature and humidity sensors, and also energy consumption via Modbus*. With 2G/3G/4G networks, the system will realize real-time upload of the power consumption data and energy equipment status info to a cloud energy efficiency management platform. This will allow a user to monitor the real-time power consumption data and operation status of each piece of energy equipment. Users can also control energy equipment by setting on/off commands via the management platform. Thus, users can realize efficient energy-saving and emission reductions.  

Intel® Atom™ x3 Demo with Altera

This demo will showcase both the Intel® Atom™ x3 platform and our new Altera product family. The Intel Atom x3 processor is Intel’s first integrated communications SI platform for IoT; featuring 3G/WiFi connectivity, Bluetooth, and GPS. An Atom x3 processor-powered, highly-interactive ROBOT demo showcases several IoT usage models. Altera FPGA*, SoC*, CPLD* and power products enable rapid development of cost-effective IoT solutions.

ADLINK Smart Factory Demo

This demo will use the ADLINK IoT gateway, an EtherCAT solution, smart camera and USB DAQ, with Microsoft Windows® 10 IoT OS and the Azure* cloud computing platform, to demonstrate a smart factory solution. It includes features to monitor operating conditions of equipment in the production line and production performances in real-time. It further offers a database of alarm tags from equipment (created for equipment failure analysis).
