EDA Alliance
Electronic Design Automation (EDA) suppliers produce tools that assist in the specification, planning, design, verification, implementation, and test of electronic systems. EDA tools ensure the delivery of the required performance, power, area, and density, verify the designs will meet manufacturing process requirements, and help monitor the performance of the device from post-manufacturing test to deployment in the field.
The Intel Foundry Services (IFS) Accelerator - EDA Alliance gathers the industry’s leading EDA partners. Our EDA Alliance partners get early access to Intel’s process technologies, allowing these partners to co-optimize tools and flows to best realize Intel’s technology capabilities. This enables customers to achieve their performance, power, and area (PPA) goals, and accelerate their time to market. IFS Accelerator EDA suites support a full spectrum of design activities, including DTCO (Design Technology Co-Optimization), STCO (System Technology Co-Optimization), design, simulation, library characterization, and signoff. The EDA Alliance covers all aspects of designing modern SoCs, chiplets, tiles, and packages, and integrating them using advanced assembly technologies.
The current partners of the IFS Accelerator - EDA Alliance include:
“Intel’s entry into the foundry business marks an important milestone in addressing the current semiconductor shortage and becoming a major U.S.- and European-based capacity provider to serve customers globally. As one of four inaugural members of the IFS EDA Alliance along with the long-term relationship with Intel, Ansys will apply our critical golden multiphysics simulation technology to the silicon designs that will differentiate the innovative products of our mutual customers, regardless of the chosen EDA design flow.”
-- Dr. Ajei Gopal, President and CEO, Ansys
“With today’s rigorous design requirements and increasing pressure to deliver innovative SoCs faster than ever, both IFS and Cadence are committed to facilitating design innovation. As a member of the IFS Ecosystem Alliance, we’re ensuring that mutual customers can seamlessly adopt Cadence EDA tools and IP and IFS process technologies to stay in front of dynamic market demands.”
-- Dr. Anirudh Devgan, President and CEO, Cadence
"Keysight has a strong track record of RFIC design success working with leading semiconductor manufacturers and foundries. Expansion of our design enablement support to IFS is an important part of our strategy that broadens access to Keysight 's RF design and simulation tools. We are already beginning work to qualify our PathWave RFPro EM simulation product for use in high-speed, high-frequency RFIC design projects at IFS. We expect to qualify other PathWave simulation products as the IFS relationship develops and customer demand ramps up. Participation in the EDA Alliance together with many of our strategic partners ensures that mutual customers will be able to implement open, productive IFS workflows for advanced nodes."
-- Niels Faché, Vice President and General Manager of PathWave Software Solutions, Keysight
“As most designers focused, PeakView achieves 3D DC-mmWave-TeraHz fullwave accuracy and large-scale simulation capability for IC, 3DIC and IC-PKG-PCB designs. As IFS continues to advance its process nodes and packaging technology, it is a privilege to partner with IFS as one of the leading EDA vendors with our deep EM expertise. We are grateful and look forward to delivering high-quality tools and solutions for RF, mmWave and high-speed designs”
--Jinsong Zhao, President and Founder of Lorentz Solution
“Strong partnerships between foundries and industry-leading EDA tools providers are becoming increasingly essential in getting next-generation designs developed on time. Siemens is pleased to serve as a charter member of the IFS Ecosystem Alliance, and we look forward to collaborating closely with IFS to help our mutual customers differentiate and win in the global IC marketplace.”
-- Joe Sawicki, Executive Vice President, IC-EDA for Siemens Digital Industries Software, Siemens
“Synopsys joining Intel Foundry Services Alliance is a natural extension of our over 30-year history with Intel. With our recent AI-based autonomous design breakthrough that is getting particularly good results on Intel technology, we catalyze designers in Intel’s robust ecosystem to boost productivity and accelerate innovation. Together we put our mutual customers on the fast-track towards the next 1000X in productivity needed this decade.”
-- Dr. Aart de Geus, Chairman and Co-Chief Executive Officer, Synopsys
