Stable Design Platforms Mean Reduced Time-to-Market

World-class technology demands world-class design solutions.

Our fully-qualified design platform includes design kits and flows, and IP verified on silicon. These intellectual properties (IP) are developed and optimized by us or by our design ecosystem providers. All the IPs are verified and characterized prior to delivery to our customers to ensure quality and functionality of the customer’s silicon. Our joint IP and package modeling ensures no unanticipated interactions at a product level. Combination of pre-verified IP and co-optimized packaging provides a high level of confidence in first time right success.

We deliver qualified design solutions early in the technology development, so that our customers can also get the benefit of early access to technology. There are no delays waiting for lead customers to debug our process for us. This is another clear advantage of working with an integrated device manufacturer (IDM).

Time-to-market can be further enhanced by making use of our ASIC design services team. Like all of our designers, they have two generations of FinFET and multi-patterning technology under their belt. This unique experience has helped improve our design kits and design flows to enhance the productivity of our designers and improve the performance, reliability, and yield of completed designs.

What Our Customers Are Saying

Robert Blake, Achronix CEO:

"We evaluated many SerDes suppliers for our high performance Achronix* FPGAs. Both the 12.75G SerDes using Intel’s 22nm technology and the 32G SerDes using Intel's 14nm technology met our stringent power/performance requirements and the broad range of features that we needed,” said Robert Blake, CEO of Achronix. “The SerDes from Intel Custom Foundry is a key differentiating technology for the growing range of high-speed interfaces that our FPGAs require."

ANSYS RedHawk*

ANSYS

ANSYS provides reference flows for system-on-chip (SoC) power and electromigration (EM) sign-off for Intel's 10nm, 14 nm, and 22 nm tri-gate process technology for use by customers of Intel Custom Foundry. Intel® tri-gate technology is a proprietary 3D transistor technology with the gate surrounding the channel on all three sides of the transistor. It provides designers with dramatic performance, power, and area benefits for their products versus previous generations of transistors.

Featured Collaboration

ANSYS and Intel Custom Foundry teams developed reference flows around ANSYS RedHawk* for System-On-Chip (SoC) power and EM sign-off, ANSYS Totem* for custom intellectual property power and EM integrity and ANSYS PathFinder* for full-chip ESD validation. This collaboration extends the previous 22nm effort to now include the 14nm design platform.
