Intel® Software Guard Extensions (Intel® SGX) is an Intel® technology for application developers who are seeking to protect select code and data from disclosure or modification. Intel® SGX makes such protections possible through the use of enclaves, which are protected areas of execution in memory. Application code can be put into an enclave by special instructions and software made available to developers via the Intel® SGX Software Development Kit (SDK). The Intel SGX SDK is a collection of APIs, libraries, documentation, sample source code, and tools that allows software developers to create and debug Intel SGX enabled applications in C and C++.

Intel® FPGAs can be used to accelerate the performance of large-scale data systems. Intel FPGAs enable higher speed data processing by providing customized high-bandwidth, low-latency connections to network and storage systems. In addition, Intel FPGAs provide compression, data filtering, and algorithmic acceleration. In the financial sector, software-based algorithms and analytics can be offloaded onto FPGA hardware for reductions in latencies. In high-performance computing, parallel tasks that may bog down CPU performance can be offloaded to the FPGA, reducing CPU overhead and system latency.
