Detailed Description

Purpose

This download record provides options for updating the BIOS for Intel® NUC Compute Element ELM13IBv7[x] and ELM13IBv5 (Intel vPro®). 

Note:

Do not use this BIOS for Intel® NUC Compute Element ELM13IBi7, ELM13IBi5[x], ELM13IBi3[x], ELM13IBIP[x].

If you need complete step-by-step instructions on how to use each of these BIOS update methods, refer to BIOS update instructions.

Which file should I choose?

  • Express BIOS Update [IBRPLMIV.0032.EBU.exe] - Self-extracting Windows*-based update file, designed to be used on Windows systems.
  • F7 BIOS update [IBv0032.CAP] - .CAP file to be used for F7 BIOS Update method. It requires a USB flash device.
  • UEFI BIOS update [IBRPLMIV.0032.UEFI.zip] - Allows you to update the BIOS from the EFI Shell. It requires a USB flash device.
  • BIOS Recovery [IBRPLMIV.0032.RECOVERY.zip] - In the unlikely event that a BIOS update is interrupted, it's possible the BIOS may be left in an unusable state. Use the recovery BIOS update to recover from this condition. It requires a USB flash device. Follow the recovery instructions in the BIOS update instructions.
