2.4.1. Files Generated for Altera IP Cores (Legacy Parameter Editors)

The software generates one of the following output file structures for Altera IP cores that use a legacy parameter editor.

Note: For devices released prior to Arria 10 devices, the generated .qip and .sip files must be added to your project to represent IP and Qsys systems. To manually add an IP variation to a project, click Project > Add/Remove Files in Project and add only the IP variation .qip or .qsys file, but not both, to the project. Do not manually add the top-level HDL file to the project.
