Development History
Intel's involvement with transparent computing (TC) is as follows:
2007
A collaboration started on TC projects with Professor Zhang Yaoxue (inventor of the theory that the software is based on) from the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE) and his team.
2008
The partnership brought TC projects into a software memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT).
2010
The team established a TC lab with Aspire*.
2012
The team founded Central South University (CSU)-Intel TC Joint Lab and Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU)-Intel Platform Innovation Center.
2013
The team collaborated with CSU and Jiangsu Eazytec Corporation Ltd.* on TC projects.
2015
CSU and Hunan New Cloudnet Technology Co. Ltd. worked with the team on TC industrialization.
2016
The Intel® SW Solution for Transparent Computing was officially released. Hunan New Cloudnet Technology Co. Ltd. also launched products based on this solution.
2017
The Education edition of the software solution was released. Ecosystem partners led successful pilot deployments in many universities, colleges, and schools.
2018
The Enterprise edition, which fully supported personalized computing environment migration, was released. Ecosystem partners led pilot deployments for business customers.
