Intel® Graphics Performance Analyzers
Improve your game's performance by quickly identifying problem areas.
Isolate common bottlenecks that affect your game's performance in real time.
Identify where you can evenly distribute workloads across the CPU and GPU.
Visualize multiframe stream captures and select a frame to analyze down to the draw call level.
Intel® Graphics Performance Analyzers Framework
A command line and scripting interface allows users to access frameworks that expose capture and playback functionalities in Intel® Graphics Performance Analyzers (Intel® GPA). Capture multiframe streams, analyze stream data, generate reports, and automate profiling to spot or flag performance regressions.
Hot Spot Analysis
Quickly identify the most expensive events by their hardware bottlenecks.
Multiframe Analysis
Capture a continuous stream of frames to identify intermittent rendering issues and spikes in frame times.
System-Level Profiling
Correlate captured data from ETW events, ITT user markers, graphics API calls, and high-frequency metrics all in one timeline.
Shader Profiling
Optimize shaders more efficiently by identifying the most expensive calls.
What's New: Release 2023.2
All Tools
- The graphical user interface was upgraded to Qt* 6 framework and includes the latest security updates, which improve the system stability.
Graphics Monitor
- Added the new Frame capture mode for Microsoft DirectX* 12 based on the latest capture/playback framework, which supports DirectX 12 Ultimate features, including mesh shaders and DirectX Raytracing (DXR).
- Added compression option for Stream and Frame (for DirectX 12) capture modes. This option can reduce the required storage space for captured streams and frames by up to 30%.
Graphics Frame Analyzer
- Improved error messages, which allows for easier troubleshooting of stream and frame opening issues.
- Note For frames captured with the new Frame mode in DirectX 12, some features are not yet supported in Graphics Frame Analyzer: Pixel History, 2x2 Textures experiments, Samplers Preview, Shader Compilation parameters, and others. These features are planned for support in future releases.
- For capture-time compression, the frame rate may drop when compression is enabled, so a much smaller stream may be the result of compression and fewer frames being captured.
Intel® GPA Framework
The following features were added:
- An auto-hooking feature that can attach to workloads at launch
- New functionality to track acceleration structures in DXR workloads accurately that enables cross-GPU capture and playback of streams (technical preview).
- A dump state layer to inspect the draw/dispatch calls by dumping state information into text files.
- Capture/playback support for VK_KHR_buffer_device_address, which enables capture/playback of workloads that use acceleration structure/buffer/memory device addresses (essentially, ray tracing workloads).
- Support for Vulkan* SDK version 1.3.243.0.
