Ege Ciklabakkal is a PhD student in computer science at the University of Waterloo, where he also earned his master's degree.

Ege's research focuses on the variance reduction aspect of Monte Carlo rendering. Having worked on stratified sampling, his goal is to get the most out of each sample that's evaluated by the renderer. With the advancements in neural approaches, he seeks to develop real-time solutions to complex appearance problems.
