Prerequisites and Installation

Intel offers software and documentation to help you set up Intel® TCC Tools. This support is divided into two categories: default setup and custom setup.
  • Recommended starting point for evaluating Intel® TCC Tools.
  • A default setup is a software stack that Intel supports for Intel® TCC Tools. In addition, Intel may streamline the setup steps by using scripts instead of requiring manual steps.
Custom Setup refers to these additional configurations:
  • Modified default setup. Intel offers ways to customize a default setup by documenting the manual steps that the scripts automate or additional parameters.
  • Software stack that Intel does not support for Intel® TCC Tools, but Intel offers some advice or examples to help you port Intel® TCC Tools into the unsupported environment. You are responsible for implementation and validation.
About This Guide
For Default Setup, this guide will point you to a prescriptive step-by-step Get Started Guide.
For Custom Setup, this guide will offer additional information and steps that you can choose to implement based on your environment.
Host-Target Environment
The recommended environment for using Intel® TCC Tools consists of a host system for development tasks and a target system for application deployment and execution, shown in the following figure. The documentation focuses on this type of environment.
