Independent Thread Run Control

The Intel® System Debugger provides the following alternatives of thread run control:
  • Default run control: all threads are run or suspended together any time you execute a corresponding command.
  • Independent thread run control: allows you to control execution of individual cores separately.
: If the Intel® Hyper-Threading Technology is enabled, halting an individual core stops all threads associated with this core. For more information on the Intel® Hyper-Threading Technology, see the product page.
To enable the last option, check the
Independent Thread Run Control
box in the
Debug Configurations
dialog box when launching or configuring the debugger.
