MD5Pack, MD5Unpack
MD5Pack, MD5Unpack
Packs/unpacks the
IppsMD5State
context into/from a user-defined buffer (deprecated).Syntax
IppStatus ippsMD5Pack (const IppsMD5State*
pCtx
, Ipp8u*
pBuffer
);
IppStatus ippsMD5Unpack (const Ipp8u*
pBuffer
, IppsMD5State*
pCtx
);

Parameters
- pCtx
- Pointer to theIppsMD5Statecontext.
- pBuffer
- Pointer to the user-defined buffer.
Description
This algorithm is considered weak due to known attacks on it. The functionality remains in the library, but the implementation will no longer be optimized and no security patches will be applied.
The
MD5Pack
function transforms the *pCtx
context to a position-independent form and stores it in the *pBuffer
buffer. The MD5Unpack
function performs the inverse operation, that is, transforms the contents of the *pBuffer
buffer into a normal IppsMD5State
context. The MD5Pack
and MD5Unpack
functions enable replacing the position-dependent IppsMD5State
context in the memory. Return Values
- ippStsNoErr
- Indicates no error. Any other value indicates an error or warning.
- ippStsNullPtrErr
- Indicates an error condition if any of the specified pointers isNULL.
- ippStsContextMatchErr
- Indicates an error condition if the context parameter does not match the operation.
