Exporting and Importing Files
Create result archive files to easily:
- MoveIntel Inspectorresults between machines or even between operating systems. For example: You can export an archive file for a result produced on a Linux* machine and import it to a Windows* machine.
- Share results for collaboration purposes. For example: You can combine the efforts of multiple team members working a subset of assigned issues in the same result.
- Send results to the Intel® support team for troubleshooting purposes.
You can choose to include or exclude source files when you create result
archive files.
When you import a result archive file into the current project, the
Intel Inspector
:
- Extracts the result archive.
- Names the extracted resultimport@@@, whereimportis a constant, and@@@represents the next available number.
- Saves the extracted result to animport@@@directory of the same name.
You can also import a result not associated with a
project or a result from another Intel® error-detection product into the
current project. When you import such results, the
Intel Inspector
:
- Makes a copy of the result.
- Converts the copy to theIntel Inspectorresult format.
- Names the new resultimport@@@, whereimportis a constant, and@@@represents the next available number.
- Saves the new result to animport@@@directory of the same name.
Refinalize the imported result to apply current project symbol information. (Use the
Re-resolve
option on the
Project Navigator
pane context menu.)
