Prerequisites

You will need a host system and a target system that meet the following specifications.

Development Host System

To develop with Intel® TCC Tools, you will need a host system that meets the following specifications:
  • Recommended: Ubuntu* 20.04 LTS OS
    Instructions for Intel® TCC Tools contain steps and dependencies based on Ubuntu* 20.04 LTS OS as the host system. The host components of Intel® TCC Tools are expected to work on all common Linux* distributions, but specific steps for setting up additional dependencies might be different.
  • Python* release 3.7 or higher required for several components
  • Internet access
  • OpenSSL* toolkit

Target System

One of the following boards with a supported processor:
  • 11th Generation Intel® Core™ Processors DDR4 customer reference board with a supported processor:
    • 11th Generation Intel® Core™ i3-1115GRE Processor
    • 11th Generation Intel® Core™ i5-1145GRE Processor

To run the MRL (MMIO Read Latency) sample application, your board will need integrated TSN or a network interface card with Intel® Ethernet Controller I225 Series. If integrated TSN is not available for any reason, the network interface card is required.
Additional hardware:
  • Minimum CAT-5E Ethernet cable to connect the target system to the same network as the host.
To acquire boards or boot firmware binaries, contact your Intel representative. Network interface cards with Intel® Ethernet Controller I225 Series are available for purchase.
Intel® Firmware Image (IFWI) with Intel® Boot Guard profile 0 (SEP0) is recommended for reference boards and validation platforms. Intel® IFWI is integrated with Cache Reservation Library (CRL).
Intel has validated the following BIOS and real-time Linux* kernel versions to work with this Intel® TCC Tools release:
  • For Intel Atom® x6000E Series Processors:
    • BIOS version: EHLSFWI1.R00.3432.A03.2110250557
    • IFWI version: v3471.01
    • BSP version: Intel Atom® x6000E Series Processors MR2 release
For Intel Atom® x6000E Series Processors: refer to the Intel® Converged Security Engine (Intel® CSE) kit to change the Boot Guard Profile from 5 to 0. Refer to Intel® TCC FAQs for details.
  • For 11th Generation Intel® Core™ Processors:
