How AI solves today's most complex challenges
By accelerating scientific research, Intel tech is used to solving the toughest obstacles in every industry, including agriculture in India. By harnessing the power of AI, two students were able to create a stable future for Indian farmers and reduce risk in agricultural practices.
2017 was disastrous for farmers in India. After a catastrophic pest infestation, many farmers were forced to abandon their profession. This inspired two students who study Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering at VIT-Chennai Campus to find a solution to restore Indian agriculture.
Seeing what AI could offer, they developed a method to detect crop pests through thermal imaging using Intel® OpenVINO™ technology. Named Kishan Know, their technology has proven effective—and at less than $1, it’s accessible to every sector of society.
With AI, powered by Intel tech, students become the next generation of innovators.
