Reimagining the future of women in STEM
Fostering equity in STEM education with Million Girls Moonshot
Why closing the STEM gender gap matters
We are working with Dr. Katya Echazarreta and the Million Girls Moonshot to advance gender and racial equity with a commitment to expand technology access to fuel human potential in every community.
On a visit to a museum at age seven, Dr. Katya Echazarreta knew she wanted to go to space. Years later, as the first Mexican-born woman to make it to the stratosphere, she is inspiring the next generation of women in STEM on a tour of Chicago’s Adler Planetarium.
Dr. Echazarreta knows firsthand how critical it is to motivate girls to pursue science and math and push educators to provide equitable educational opportunities for women. With her collaboration and support from the Intel Foundation, the Million Girls Moonshot is reaching nearly 800,000 girls and 100,000 STEM educators with fun and challenging programs— with a goal to engage a million girls in STEM by 2025. Join the tour and learn more about Intel's efforts to bring equity into education in this short film produced with CNN.
