Patch created on February 11 2010 Patch SPR#: 333637 //**************************************************************** This patch affects PCIe Compiler reset circuitry for the HIP mode Gen2:x4, Gen2:x8 o The serdes reset controller described in the PCI Express user guide Figure 5-22 has been updated to address infrequent downtraining issues observed for the HIP mode Gen2:x4 and Gen2:x8. o There the 3ms reset circuit described in the design example and on page 151 of the User Guide is no longer needed. o The generated design example is updated to reflect the new reset circuit, and will no longer contains the 3 ms reset circuit o The variant port signature remains unchanged. o This new reset circuit is backward compatible with the 3ms reset. o The rx_freqlocked_one output of the PCIe variation used in the design example's 3ms circuit is now permanently driven to 1'b1. If this 3ms circuit remains in place in the customer design it will hold the HIP in reset 3ms longer than needed, but that should not cause an issue.
