Good: Strong gaming performance, Plentiful memory and storage, Wide range of connectivity options including USB-C and 802,11ac, Well-engineered, compact build, Tool-less case and PCIe card slots

Bad: A bit finicky to open and upgrade, Interior cable wiring could be better routed, Limited expandability

The Alienware Aurora is a more compact gaming desktop than some of the behemoths we've tested lately, but it's more than capable of handling VR and fluid gameplay on one or more 4K monitors...

Good: The Alienware Aurora can fit two graphics cards into a relatively small case. Interior access doesn't require a screwdriver, and future GPU upgrades should be easy

Bad: This is still big and heavy for a mid-size gaming desktop, some components are hidden behind the power supply, and some of the latest highest-end component options aren't available yet

Bad: Solid, state drive options are limited to only 512GB of storage space, and Dell has basic case options.

The number of features and available modifications are extensive and make this machine one of the better premium gaming systems....

  • The Alienware Aurora could be a perfect example of style overriding substance. The gaming desktop has all the looks you would want out of a performance PC, but what about its components...

Good: A plethora of ports, Stylish, organized and compact case

Bad: Cramped case discourages tinkering, Relatively poor performance for the price

The new Alienware Aurora is well-designed with a great case and a few neat features, but it’s a little pricey and doesn’t perform well in our performance tests. Alienware Aurora: Style Trumps Substance Alienware Aurora Review, by Alex Wawro July 8, 20...
