Systems Technology Lab

The future of computing takes shape at Intel's Systems Technology Lab, where we bring together many of the world's top research and engineering talents driving innovations in next generation computing platforms.

Innovators at Intel understand the next generation, platform-based solutions drive the future of computing. This novel work entails the creation and differentiation of advanced computing platforms that respond not only to user needs, but also to environmental requirements, energy efficient systems, shrinking form factors, manufacturability and modularity. To lead this effort, Intel created the Systems Technology Lab, a global network of research and development facilities that sponsor cutting-edge research and drive new technology innovations. This cutting-edge research focuses on energy efficiency, virtualization, manageability, and trust built on next generation platforms that deliver new usage models for technology in business and homes.

Systems Research Projects

Energy Efficient Systems Architecture (EESA) Energy Efficient Systems Architecture (EESA)  ›
Explore the research in energy efficiency on the system level. EESA is a collection of technologies and architectural improvements that will result in dramatically higher performance per watt across all platforms.

Virtualization Virtualization  ›
Learn more about virtualization enhanced by Intel Virtualization Technology. With virtualization, one computer system can function as multiple "virtual" systems.

Identity Capable Platform (ICP) Identity Capable Platform (ICP) ›
Intel Identity Capable Platform (ICP) technology is a client-based approach enabling flexible access to any device, network or service through a trusted environment that cooperates with and extends infrastructure-based solutions, including federated models. (PDF 518KB)
