Technology & Research
Overview - Research

Research in the Strategic CAD Labs (SCL) falls into three domains: hardware verification, early design exploration, and performance verification and analysis. In each domain, researchers work together to create breakthrough technologies that apply to general design and verification problems.

Though the research is primarily directed at Intel design challenges, it has general application to industrial and academic design and verification problems. As such, research results are published and presented in relevant journals and conferences. SCL researchers also represent Intel on a wide variety of conference program committees and symposia.

Focus Research Areas

Formal and dynamic verification for complex microprocessors
Early design exploration and construction of deep sub-micron (DSM) IC designs
Performance verification of multigigahertz designs
