¹ Intel® Remote PC Assist Technology requires the computer to have Intel® Remote PC Assist Technology-enabled BIOS, Intel® chipset with Intel® Remote PC Assist Technology mode enabled, network hardware and software, Intel® Active Management Technology, as well as connection with a power source and the Internet. This service operates via a wired LAN connection only and requires a direct Internet connection (no proxy server) with the ability to connect to external Internet locations (locations outside the local network). A remote service provider supporting the Intel® Remote PC Assist Technology must be used to perform remote management. The Intel® Remote PC Assist Wizard application and third party remote management software tools supporting Intel® Remote PC Assist Technology must be deployed on the target computer running one of the supported operating systems in order to perform remote management operations. Use of the technology may require configuration by the purchaser. Intel® Remote PC Assist Technology is not available in all geographies or on all computer systems. For more information, see your Intel representative or www.intel.com/support/go/connectservice.htm.
² Intel® Active Management Technology (Intel® AMT) requires the platform to have an Intel AMT-enabled chipset, network hardware and software, as well as connection with a power source and a corporate network connection. Setup of Intel AMT requires configuration by the purchaser and may require scripting with the management console or further integration into existing security frameworks to enable certain functionality. It may also require modifications or implementation of new business processes. With regards to notebooks, Intel AMT may not be available or certain capabilities may be limited over a host OS-based VPN or when connecting wirelessly, on battery power, sleeping, hibernating or powered off. For more information, see www.intel.com/technology/platform-technology/intel-amt/.
³ Initial availability for the latter half of 2008 is targeted to include Canada and United States for business.
