Data Center Manageability Interface DCMItool Overview

DCMItool is a command line application based on IPMItool 1.8.10. (ipmitool.sourceforge.net) that has been streamlined to support just the IPMI and DCMI commands required by the DCMI specification. The goal of DCMItool is to provide an aid for development engineers that are new to DCMI to enable them to exercise basic DCMI functions and provide a coding example that shows how the DCMI commands and interfaces can be used. DCMItool has not been designed to serve as a general purpose end-user tool or management application example. DCMItool was developed to running natively under Linux*. However, it can be compiled to run on Microsoft Windows* systems using Cygwin* to emulate a Linux environment. DCMItool has been developed and tested on limited Linux and Windows environments.
