When connecting Intel® Wireless Display (Intel® WiDi) to the TV adapter using a Microsoft Windows 8* system, the TV adapter may need to have a firmware update before the connection will work properly. Following the steps below may resolve the situation.
- Download the 15.3.1 version of the Intel Wireless drivers found here. Please note that these drivers are only listed for use with Windows 7*, but will be used with Windows 8 in this procedure.
- If the Windows 8 system already has Intel Wireless drivers that are a later version than 15.3.1, uninstall the drivers.
- Install the 15.3.1 drivers downloaded previously. Install or launch Intel® Wireless Display, which should now be able to successfully connect to the TV adapter.
- Once the connection is established you may be prompted to update the TV adapter firmware - follow the prompts to complete the firmware update. You can also manually update the TV adapter firmware.
