Issue:
The Online Help Documentation that comes on the CD for the Xircom® Wireless Ethernet Adapter explains the Option Key Code in the CWE as "This command is used to enter an option code required for upgrading the encryption level of your model CWE1120 Wireless Ethernet Adapter from 40 bit to 128 bit encryption. For information on the option, visit the Xircom Web site or contact Xircom Technical Support."
Resolution:
At this time, the CWE-1120 does not have the ability to be upgraded from 40-bit to 128-bit encryption using the Option Key Code. This Option Key Code is currently present for future development. An update may be done in a future driver release.
