Install Intel® PROSet/Wireless Software

To automatically update your software, run the Intel® Driver Update Utility to download the software or manually download the software.

Note When you update the Intel® PROSet/Wireless Software, the driver is also updated by default. If you do not want to install the driver, select Custom Setup during the installation process and select This feature will not be available from the Intel® WiFi Link Driver drop-down.

After you have the software on your hard drive, simply double-click the executable (Autorun.exe). The installation wizard guides you through the process.

During the installation process, you need to choose between Typical or Custom installation.

A Typical installation installs the Wi-Fi Protected Setup and Intel® Wireless Troubleshooter features. The Wi-Fi Protected Setup quickly connects you to the Internet if your hardware setup is complete. Intel Wireless Troubleshooter helps troubleshoot connection issues.

A Custom installation installs additional features:

If you want to install only one of these features, select Modify on the appropriate screen and select the feature you would like to add.

Note If you plan to use Novell Client for Windows*, it should be installed prior to installation of the Intel PROSet/Wireless WiFi Connection Utility. If Intel PROSet/Wireless is already installed, you should remove it prior to installation of Novell Client for Windows.
