Background
Bluetooth 3.0+HS gets its higher speed from the 802.11 radio protocol. The inclusion of the 802.11 protocol adaptation layer (PAL) provides increased throughput of data transfers. Intel’s implementation is with Microsoft Windows 7* and based on the Bluetooth 3.0 + HS standard.
Three components are required for Bluetooth HS features and function with Intel® wireless adapters.
- WiFi (Intel)
- Bluetooth HS (Intel)
- Bluetooth Stack (Intel or 3rd Party)
