Steps to create a package with a Prelogon profile with PEAP MS-CHAPv2 WPA2-Enterprise Data Encryption: AES-CCMP
Step 1
After installing Intel® PROSet/Wireless Software custom install with admin tool, open the PROSet connection utility and select Tools > Administrator Tool.

Step 2
Under profiles, click create a new package.

Step 3
Click on pre-logon/Common tab and click ADD profile

The same steps apply for Prelogon tab or the Persistent tab. Both should work out in this case, the example is shown with the Prelogon tab option. | |

Step 4
Under General Settings (in Windows XP*), enter Profile Name and Network SSID, and check Pre-logon/Common.

Windows 7* has a different screen for General Settings. Enter Profile Name and Network SSID. Check Connect even if the network is not broadcasting its name (SSID) and Pre-logon/Common. | |

Step 5
Under Enterprise Security Tab, select the following:
- Network Authentication: WPA2 Enterprise
- Data Encryption: AES-CCMP
- Authentication Type: PEAP
- Authentication Protocol: MS CHAP v2
Fill in the user name, password and domain details.

In this case, under user credentials, stored credentials are being used. In the drop down box, there are other forms of credentials that you can use accordingly. | |

Step 6 (Optional)
- Click Next.
- Verify that Validate Server Certificate is unchecked.
- Click OK.

Step 7
Make sure to see the created profile under Profiles tab.

Step 8
Click on Files > save the package.

Step 9
Check the package settings and apply the package to the system.

You can apply the package setting to the computer now, or execute the saved package at any time to apply. You can also copy and apply this admin package to other computers with Intel® PROSet version 12.x or higher. | |

Step 10
Make sure that the profile is applied to make the connection

You should see a pin image beside the Prelogon Connect profile package profile you applied to make the connection. | |
