Intel® PROSet/Wireless Software connection status and network icons
The following information explains the connection status and network icons you will see in the Intel® PROSet/Wireless NFC Connection Utility and on Windows* taskbar.
If this icon is present, it means that the wireless radio is not associated to a network. Click Wi-Fi On to enable the radio.
If this icon is present, it means that the Wi-Fi network could not be authenticated.
If this icon is present, it means that the Wi-Fi adapter is currently searching for an available wireless network.
If this icon is present, it means that the Wi-Fi adapter did not find any available Wi-Fi networks.
This icon means that the Wi-Fi adapter found an available Wi-Fi network. You can choose to connect to available networks displayed in the Wireless Networks list.
You are connecting to a Wi-Fi network. The crescent shaped curves switch between green and white until an IP address is obtained or a connection error occurs.
You are connected to a Wi-Fi network. The network name, speed, signal quality, and IP address display the current connection status. Click the details button to display details of the current network connection.

This icon describes the signal strength of the network access point or computer.
This icon identifies a network that is connected and has a profile in the profiles list.
This icon identifies a Wi-Fi network that uses network (infrastructure) mode.
This icon identifies a Wi-Fi network that uses device to device (ad hoc) mode.
This icon identifies a Wi-Fi network that uses security encryption.
This icon identifies the band frequency used by the Wi-Fi network (a=802.11a, b=802.11b, g=802.11g, n=802.11n).
This icon means that the Wi-Fi network is on the exclusion list or that the profile is configured for manual connection.
