Use the following steps to set up an unsecure Wi-Fi connection to the Internet.

1. Click Start.
2. Click Network.
3. Click Network and Sharing Center.
4. Click Connect to the Internet.
5. Click Set up a connection or network.
6. Click Connect to the Internet.
7. Click Next.
8. Click Wireless.
9. Choose your preconfigured Wi-Fi network (this example uses a network named wireless-n) and click Connect. You may also set up a new Wi-Fi connection.

   

10. Click Next.
11. Allow the operating system to test your Internet connection. If all hardware and cables are connected properly, you should receive a message indicating Internet connectivity. Click Browse the Internet now to open a Web browser window.
