IEEE* 802.11n Status

Intel® PROSet/Wireless Software version 13 and later supports draft 2.0 of the IEEE* 802.11n specification and is Wi-Fi Certified* for 802.11n. Current Draft-N products are fully interoperable with final standard products.

The IEEE* ratified 802.11n in September 2009.

Intel verifies interoperability of all 802.11n products through the Wi-Fi Alliance Wi-Fi CERTIFIED™ n program.

There are several revisions of the draft standard currently in publication. Products manufactured for different draft standards may not be interoperable. Draft standard products may not be compatible with final standard products or may require firmware (software) upgrades to be compatible with the final 802.11n standard.
