Symptom(s):
The Intel® PRO/Wireless 2100 Network Connection driver may not install properly on Windows Vista*.
Cause:
The Intel® PRO/Wireless 2100 Network Connection may cause intermittent driver installation problems if an incompatible Windows Vista driver was installed.
Solution:
Update the Intel® PRO/Wireless 2100 Network Connection driver for Windows Vista. To update the driver, complete the following steps:
- Download the Intel wireless driver ZIP file.
- Click Actions > Select All from the File menu.
- Click Actions > Extract from the File menu.
- Choose a location for the files, create a new folder and click Extract.
- Open the new folder.
- Double-click SetupWLD.EXE to update the driver.
- Restart your computer to ensure the driver is properly updated.
