Intel® PRO/Wireless 2100 network connection is no longer manufactured by Intel, nor will Intel provide any future software updates to support new operating systems or improve compatibility with third-party devices and software products. A Windows Vista*-ready driver (NDIS 5.1) will be provided for download. This is a driver-only release. There will be no Windows Vista-compatible version of Intel® PROSet software for the Intel PRO/Wireless 2100 network connection.

Why is Intel no longer offering the Intel PRO/Wireless 2100 network connection? This adapter has been discontinued due to customer preference for faster wireless network adapters.
How long will Intel offer drivers for the Intel PRO/Wireless 2100 network connection? Contact your manufacturer for information specific to your laptop computer. Alternatively, generic drivers for the Intel PRO/Wireless 2100 Network Connection can be found at http://support.intel.com/support/wireless/wlan/pro2100/index.htm through the download software link under the Software & Drivers section. A Windows Vista-ready driver (NDIS 5.1) will be provided for download. This is a driver-only release. There will be no Windows Vista-compatible version of Intel PROSet software for the Intel PRO/Wireless 2100 network connection. Except for the Windows Vista-ready driver, Intel will not be developing new drivers for this product after Intel PROSet/Wireless 2100 network connection software version 7.1.4.7.
