Intel® MWT is integrated into the installation of Intel® PROSet Wireless version 13.2. These instructions are not needed if you have upgraded to version 13.2 or newer.
If you have not upgraded, follow the instructions below to install Intel® MWT.

For Intel® MWT installation to occur, the laptop must meet hardware and operating system requirements. Your computer manufacturer may have altered the features incorporated customization, or made other changes to your adapter software. Begin by downloading Intel PROSet Wireless Software:
- Point your browser to http://downloadcenter.intel.com
- Select Wireless Networking » Intel® WiFi Products » and your adapter model from the list.
- Select your operating system (Windows 7* or Windows Vista*).
- Click the entry where title starts with "Intel® PROSet/Wireless Software and drivers for Windows."
- On the next page, click Download and follow the on-screen prompts.
Installing the software
- Double-click the PROSET/Wireless WiFi Connection application.
- Click Install Software on the Intel® PROSet/Wireless installer screen. Click Next.
- Read the license agreement. Select I accept the terms in the license agreement. Click Next.
- Click Next to accept the default install destination folder. Otherwise, click Change to specify a different location. Then click OK and Next.
- Elect the Custom option. Selecting Custom displays all the available software options including the Intel® My WiFi Technology (Intel® MWT) Software. It is important to select Custom when performing a clean install of the software.
- Click the drop-down menu icon next to Intel® My WiFi Technology. Make sure that Intel® My WiFi Technology is selected to install. It should appear like the picture below.
- Click Next. The components you selected in step 6 are installed.
- Click Finish.
Note: Intel® My WiFi Technology is supported only on the Windows 7* operating system with driver versions 13.1.1 and newer.
