Intel® Core™2 Processor with Viiv™ Technology
What media formats are supported by Intel® Smart Streaming Technology?

Media comes in many different formats. Intel® Smart Streaming Technology reduces the likelihood of format incompatibilities by providing a translating engine (also called transcoding technology) to convert media into a format the networked media devices (NMD) understand.

The following tables list media formats Intel Smart Streaming Technology translates, and media formats the technology passes through to a NMD without translating.
