“New hardware found” notification after Intel® QRTD is uninstalled

Issue
When Intel® Quick Resume Technology Driver (QRTD) is uninstalled a "new hardware found" notification is displayed in the taskbar.

Reason
As long as Intel QRTD is enabled in the BIOS and the driver is uninstalled, this message will continue.

Solution
Reinstall
the driver.

Or...

Disable the Intel QRTD in the BIOS.

To disable Intel QRTD the BIOS, complete the following steps:

  1. In the BIOS, select Power.
  2. Select Intel QRTD.
  3. Select disable.
  4. Select Exit and save.


Note: Intel QRTD is needed for Intel® Viiv™ Technology brand verification and future updates.
