Intel® Core™2 Processor with Viiv™ Technology
System will not enter standby state

Issue
The Intel® Viiv™ technology-based PC will not enter the standby state.

Reason
If you are using a USB IR-remote control and the standby state is set, the system may not enter the standby state (S3). The USB remote control may impact the Quick Resume mode.

Solution
A workaround is available from Microsoft* which is usually installed by the computer manufacturer. Contact your computer manufacturer for the workaround and read the Microsoft Knowledge Base* article about using USB devices with power options.
