If your device is an Intel® Viiv™ technology verified device and you receive this error, verify the following:

Intel Viiv Technology Verified Device List
If your device is an Intel Viiv technology verified device and you receive this error, the verified router list on your Intel Viiv technology-based PC may need updating.

Solution
: Update the verified device list by completing the following steps from the Intel Viiv technology-based PC. NOTE: You need an Internet connection to update the verified device list.
  1. Start the Intel Viiv software.
  2. From the Intel Viiv Settings, select options.
  3. Select software updates.
  4. Select update software.

NOTE: The update software option only updates the verified device list. It does not update the Intel Viiv software.

Router Name
If the default router name was changed, the Intel Viiv software cannot verify the device. The default router name is the name the manufacturer assigns the router. Intel Viiv software uses this name to identify verified routers.

Solution: Restore factory default name. See router manufacturer’s documentation for instructions on restoring defaults.

Network Configuration is Limited to One Router
If you are using more than one router, Intel Viiv technology may not recognize the routers as Intel Viiv technology verified. Set up the home network using only one router.

Solution: Set up your home network using only one router. See Connecting an Intel Viiv Technology Verified Router for detailed steps on setting your home network.
