If you cannot connect a networked media device to the home network, verify the following:
Intel® Viiv™ Technology Verified Device Router Power Is On Passcode Timed Out Wireless Router Signal Strength
Intel Viiv Technology Verified Device Verify the device is an Intel Viiv technology verified device. Verified devices have the Intel® Viiv™ logo on the them.
A list of verified devices is available at http://www.intel.com/go/rml/.
Router Power Is On Verify the router is on.
Solution: If the router is off, power on the router and register the networked media device to the network by selecting add a device in the Intel® Viiv™ software. See router manufacturer’s documentation for instructions on powering your router on.
Passcode Timed Out The device passcode or password allows Intel® Viiv™ technology-based PCs to access networked media devices. The passcode is accessed through the networked media devices’ setup application. This code is valid for a set amount of time. The time varies by manufacturer.
Solution: If the passcode expires, you need to add the device to the network again. You may need to power on and off the device to restart the setup process and access a new passcode.
Wireless Router Signal Strength The wireless router signal strength needs to be strong enough to reach the device. See manufacturer’s documentation for signal strength specifications.
Solution: Adjust distance of the router to the device or adjust the router/device antenna positions.
